Are Shared Lessons for me?

FAQs
Tute’s live lessons are packaged into different curriculums to meet the needs and budgets of our partners. The Virtual School is one of those curriculums.
The VS is a fixed timetable of lessons, built flexibly to enable immediate provision for students in need of alternative education.
Our timetables are built for key stages 1, 2, 3, and 4 and covers core and further subjects.
There is a choice of differentiated programmes to meet different levels of progress. All schemes of learning are mapped to the National Curriculum meaning that students learn on a par with their peers in mainstream.
KS1, KS2, KS3, and KS4
English, maths, science, humanities, English literature, SMSC and ESOL.
Our VS serves many students including those who have been excluded (including internal exclusions), need day 6 provision, re-engagement with learning and short-term alternative provision. Many students are with us long term because they engage in their learning and cover content and skills that are often difficult for PRUs and LAs to provide in challenging circumstances.
It is sometimes the case that the VS is a child’s only source of education and for some, is part of a wider solution with other provision slotting in around the learner’s chosen timetable.
Students can join our shared Virtual School timetable at any point during a half term and can be enrolled into any combination of subjects and programmes.
Select from 2-22 differentiated lessons per week and your student/s will receive login details within 48hrs of us receiving your completed booking form.
After every lesson, the Tute teacher will assess the students’ progress and engagement against the learning objectives directly in the Tute platform. They will also provide a suggestion for the student’s progress.
You will be able to access this detailed and summarised information about this and attendance in the platform. You can also download reports.
Virtual School: £12.00 per student, per lesson.
Tute’s Virtual School is available as a shared option only which means that Tute determines the content, the timetable and your student/s will join others referred by other establishments.

FAQs
Tute is not just about short-term provision. Our courses are available for Key Stage 3, offering a pathway to a qualification in a choice of subjects at Level 1 and 2, GCSE, AS and A Level.
For qualifications, Tute teachers deliver the specification in one or two years and act as the student’s main, if not only, source of education for that subject. We take care of all the teaching and learning, the setting just acts as a link and enters the students for the exam.
Ideal as long term provision for Key Stage 3, or additional curriculum option to enable those outside of mainstream to attain accreditation in Key Stage 4 and 5.
Tute Courses are available for students in Key Stage 3 to 5. There are over 30 subjects available in GCSE, Level 1/2 and A level courses, and if we don’t have the subject you need, we can seek to recruit a suitable teacher for you.
Typically, students in KS4 and 5 access a course, but they are open to anyone referred by the education setting.
Subjects we offer
Tute Courses can benefit students in Key Stage 3 to 5 in any type of education setting and present the same opportunities for those unable to attend school.
Our courses are used by non-mainstream settings and by schools to fulfil statutory obligations so that students can secure essential core subject qualifications.
Our one-year GCSE offer is particularly relevant to those students in year 11 who have missed learning and need something to secure their GCSEs.
Courses are also commissioned for long term provision, to broaden a curriculum offer and to make a subject option viable; helping students achieve their aspirations whilst enabling a school to retain students at A level.
Students can be enrolled in any number of Tute Courses; you just choose the best option for your learners. Courses require students to complete independent learning activities between timetabled lessons and formal assignments will be set and marked by our teachers on a half-termly basis.
Progress and attainment are measured against the course learning objectives and recorded for each student in your Progress Tracker made available to you after each lesson.
Formal half-termly progress reports are also provided which summarises achievement and attainment.
Our shared course cost is £16.00 per student, per lesson based on the choice made at enrolment whether to pay upfront for the academic year, or to allow the students to attend on a rolling basis.
A private course is £9,950 for 5 students with an additional cost of £1,950 for each subsequent learner.
Tute Courses are available as both private and shared provision options.
Popular and statutory course subjects are included in our shared course timetable either as a one or two-year option.
If our shared timetable is not compatible with your student’s availability or if the subject you need is not available as a shared option, then courses can be booked privately.
Tute Go
Tute Go offers targeted programmes to support enrichment, extension, catch-up and revision
Targeted lessons in hundreds of topics planned to create interventions that support enrichment, extension, catch-up and revision. Ideal for groups of students for whom the desired outcomes are the same.
From a burst of intervention to an integral part of your curriculum, Tute Go can fill the gap.
FAQs
Having planned, created, and delivered hundreds of Learning Programmes to schools as intervention and enrichment solutions, Tute quickly built a bank of learning resources mapped to the curriculum in topics that were being requested over and over again.
It made sense to make these topics available as an off-the-shelf solution and so we created Tute Go as targeted lessons in hundreds of topics planned to create interventions that support enrichment, extension, catch-up and revision.
KS1 – KS5
Most subjects! Core subjects have a very wide choice the covers the whole curriculum and most exam boards. There is a great choice in other subjects, particularly those that are covered in our Virtual School and our Courses.
Our partners use Tute go to deliver concentrated bursts of targeted provision, as an integral and ongoing part of their curriculum offer and to provide school day extension and holiday activities.
Tute Go students might need a confidence boost, increased stretch, and challenge or the consistency of regular lessons with a subject specialist.
This is a great option for individual students in small settings who are performing above or below their peers and need the attention of a qualified teacher. It also works well for schools who want to provide groups of 12 with specific revision in one or more subjects before exams.
Whilst Tute Go makes creating programmes easier to set up, it is not a one-size-fits all once the lessons begin. Our teachers will ensure that teaching is differentiated and a adpated to meet the needs of the students.
Our shared timetables for each half-term are published on our website and are aligned to relevant needs throughout the academic year. Students can be enrolled in available programmes on a half-termly basis and within 48 hours.
Programmes booked as private provision allow the freedom to choose your own timetable and scheme of learning built using topics taken from our extensive lesson library. Programmes can be set up in a matter of days.
Progress and attainment are measured against the defined learning objectives and recorded for each student in your Progress Tracker made available to you after each lesson.
Places in our shared timetables cost between £12.00 to £15.00 per student, per lesson.
Private lessons cost £90.00 each for up to 12 students, equivalent to just £7.50 per student, per lesson.
Tute Go is available as both private and shared provision options.
Our shared provision timetable is aligned to relevant needs throughout the academic year and is a great option for students working at different levels or for a small number of learners.
If you have larger numbers if you would like to choose your own timetable and topics then Tute Go can be booked privately.
Learning Programmes
From a unique one-off lesson to a made to measure course; a Tute Learning Programme can fill the gap.
Tute’s Learning Programmes (LPs) was our first curriculum and allowed us to learn our craft. Whilst we have other “off-the-shelf” options, LPs remain in demand from our schools who require schemes of learning that are planned bespoke by our teachers to target specific needs that are identified by the school. If we can build it, we will!
FAQs
KS1 – KS5.
All subjects. If it is not listed and you want it, we will seek to recruit a teacher via our rigorous safer recruitment process with support from Tes.
Learning Programmes are used when a unique approach or set of resources are required to address student needs. A setting may lack the expertise to teach a particular topic, late enrolment to a course may require its delivery to be restructured or a setting may want to offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity to its students.
You tell us what topics you need us to teach and our teachers will plan the Learning Programme. You will sign off on the learning objectives before the programme begins and our teachers will consult if they need to change as they monitor the students’ progress.
Progress and attainment are measured against the agreed learning objectives and recorded for each student in your Progress Tracker made available to you after each lesson.
£100 per group, per lesson, equivalent to £8.33 per student per lesson.
Tute’s Learning Programmes are available as a private option only which means that you determine the content, the timetable and the students who join.
