Shelf Care offers students the incredible opportunity to have a voice: to be heard, to be published, and to have their imaginative works proudly displayed and admired. Shelf Care is a half-termly newsletter that promotes the value behind independent writing and creative expression. In a world where 1 in 3 children write anything, including text messages, we want to show them what a world of words can achieve. We promote any style, genre or form of writing and offer optional challenges for our students to strive even further. The newsletter is inspiring and enthusing; we want our students to share the same passion for writing as we do, and we aim to create a generation of confident writers who are proud of their achievements. In each issue, we publish a variety of pieces from all year groups, none too big or too small, with or without a name attached, and showcase the talents we are lucky to be part of. Shelf Care offers a sense of belonging, a sense of recognition, and a sense of joy. Our students are respected and honoured for their ambition, and we want to continue sharing it to the world. In this edition, we have compiled every entry and collated it into a Shelf Care: Bumper Edition just to demonstrate the effort and creativity that has made this enrichment successful. We will continue to grow and inspire and provide more students with opportunities for self-expression, aiming to make their enrichment experiences as impactful as possible.
