The Team Behind Tute: Meet Natalie, our Parent Support Associate.

Hear from Natalie about the importance of supporting parents and carers at Tute.

At Tute Education, we understand that supporting students means supporting their families too. Our Parent Support Associate plays a vital role in ensuring our parents and carers feel confident, informed, and empowered throughout their child’s learning journey. From offering guidance and resources to answering questions and providing reassurance, they help bridge the gap between home and education.

What is your role at Tute Education? What might a typical day consist of?

As a Parent Support Associate at Tute Education, my role focuses on building strong connections with parents to help them navigate their child’s learning journey. A typical day might include hosting online support sessions for parents, responding to individual queries, sharing helpful resources, and collaborating with the team to address any specific challenges families might face. Ensuring parents feel equipped and supported is at the heart of my role.

How long have you worked at Tute, and what motivated you to join the team?

I have been part of the Tute family since the beginning of January this year, my motivation to join came from a deep belief in the power of education and the importance of parental involvement. I was inspired by Tute’s commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for every child and their dedication to working closely with families.

What inspires you about working with parents to support their children’s education?

I am continually inspired by the resilience and dedication parents show in supporting their children. Helping parents feel confident and empowered in their role as partners in education is incredibly fulfilling. Seeing the positive impact on both parents and children when they feel supported and understood motivates me every day.

How do you ensure that parents feel empowered and supported while navigating their child’s learning journey?

I prioritise clear and empathetic communication, providing practical resources, therefore ensuring parents have access to tools and guidance tailored to their needs. Listening to parents’ concerns and celebrating their successes helps build trust and ensures they feel confident in their role.

How do you adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of the families you work with?

Every family is unique, and I take the time to understand their individual circumstances and challenges. Whether it’s adapting communication styles, signposting to relevant resources, or providing one-on-one guidance, I strive to meet families where they are and offer personalised support.

What do you enjoy most about working at Tute?

I love the sense of community at Tute. The collaborative spirit and shared commitment to making education accessible and engaging for all makes it a truly rewarding place to work.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my husband, children, and our beloved show cocker spaniels. Our weekends are often busy with family activities, cooking, and enjoying beach walks or exploring the beautiful countryside around us. I am also an avid reader; this passion plays an important role in my life. Reading offers me a way to relax, unwind, and immerse myself in different worlds. Whether it’s diving into gripping fiction, learning from thought-provoking non-fiction, or simply savouring a favourite classic, reading is my go-to for recharging. It also inspires creativity and new perspectives that I bring to both my personal and professional life.

If you had to describe Tute in three words, what would they be?

Inclusive – Supportive – Innovative

What goals or aspirations do you have for supporting parents and families at Tute Education in the future?

I aspire to continue building meaningful relationships with parents and to expand the resources and support available to them. My goal is to ensure every family feels empowered to help their children succeed in their learning journey, fostering a positive and supportive environment for all.
