Tute receives the Investing in Children Membership Award, and we are the first online provider to do so
We are incredibly proud to share that Tute has been awarded the Investing in Children Membership Award, following an independent evaluation with our students. This makes Tute the first online provider ever to receive it.
This recognition is significant and different from others we have received. It is not based on data submissions or judging panels. It is based entirely on student voice. An independent evaluator engaged directly with our students, listened to what they had to say, and assessed whether their voices genuinely shape what we do.

What the report highlights
The evaluator documented several areas of strength, including:
Clear evidence of dialogue leading directly to organisational change
Repeated examples of student voice influencing practice over time
Strong SEND and anxiety-aware approaches throughout
Student voice influencing operational practice, not just enrichment opportunities
Online-specific adaptations, rather than generic approaches transferred into a digital environment
Authentic student voice through direct quotations
A strong focus on accessibility, belonging, and inclusion
Students openly challenging practice and being listened to in real time
Inclusive approaches that actively consider quieter or less confident learners
One of the most powerful conclusions in the report is that student voice at Tute is not treated as a standalone initiative, but as something embedded within the culture and day-to-day practice of the organisation.
What this recognition reflects
The students who learn with Tute have often experienced disrupted education, anxiety, SEND, low confidence, or previous barriers to engagement. Ensuring their voices are heard, and that what they tell us leads to real change, is not always straightforward. It requires deliberate structure, consistent follow-through, and a genuine commitment from every member of staff.
This award is evidence of that commitment. It reflects the care, thought, and dedication that teachers and staff across Tute put into making student voice meaningful, authentic, and genuinely embedded in practice.
In students’ own words

“TUTE gives a lot of opportunities for student feedback, especially with student voice month recently.”
“I think TUTE is good because it includes everyone, no matter where you are from, they listen and are respectful.”
“Definitely feel heard. Being able to join the council, compared to the 1st session when there were just 2 people, it feels like more people are being heard and changes are actually being made.”
This award belongs to everyone at Tute: our teachers and staff, our partners, and the students who trusted us with their voices. We remain committed to an education system that enables any child, anywhere, to achieve their potential.
