Tute Education has been accredited by the Department for Education under the Online Education Accreditation Scheme (OEAS)

Reinforcing our commitment to quality and impact.

We’re proud to announce that Tute has been officially accredited by the Department for Education under the Online Education Accreditation Scheme (OEAS) – the DfE’s national quality mark for online education providers.

This accreditation is a rigorous endorsement of the quality, safeguarding, and effectiveness of Tute’s provision. It confirms that our curriculum design, safeguarding practices, governance, and quality assurance meet the national standards for online education.

“Gaining OEAS accreditation is a real endorsement of our work, but it isn’t the moment we became a high-quality provider. We’ve been delivering impactful online education for years. What the process gave us was an opportunity to pause, reflect, and improve – not to reinvent. The standards were a useful lens, but everything they asked of us was already part of how we work.

What made the experience so powerful was Ofsted’s rigour paired with professional curiosity – it led to conversations that sharpened our thinking and strengthened our provision.

What means the most, though, is that the report captured what really matters: our students. The whole narrative reflects that they’re not just present in our model; they’re the reason it exists. Every decision, every lesson, every system – it all begins and ends with the individual pupil and their journey. We’re proud that the report reflects that so clearly, because it’s who we are.” – Vanessa Leach, Managing Director.

Why accreditation matters

As demand for high-quality online learning – particularly for alternative provision – continues to grow, OEAS accreditation gives schools, local authorities, and non-mainstream settings the confidence to partner with a provider they can trust.

For commissioners, accreditation offers assurance that:

  • Lessons are delivered by subject-specialist qualified teachers through a structured, inclusive curriculum
  • Safeguarding, data handling, and operational practices meet national standards
  • Students are supported, engaged, and able to make meaningful progress
  • Quality assurance is robust, continuous, and transparent

A milestone for Tute, and a mark of trust

The OEAS accreditation process involved a comprehensive external review of Tute’s operations, governance, curriculum, and safeguarding – a process that confirmed our belief that online education, when designed with care and expertise, can deliver real impact for students and partners alike.

For us, accreditation isn’t just a recognition of compliance, it’s a marker of trust. We know what’s at stake when delivering education to vulnerable and complex learners. Our accreditation strengthens the confidence that partners can place in Tute as a specialist partner for flexible, high-quality provision.

A shared success, and a growing opportunity

This achievement reflects the growing recognition of online education as a credible, high-quality option – and the confidence our partners place in Tute as a trusted leader in this space. It also reflects the dedication of the entire Tute team, who continue to show that online learning with Tute is never a compromise but a high-quality, outcomes-focused alternative.
