Key stage 3
At key stage 3, our provision enables students to establish the foundational knowledge they need for key stage 4, regardless of their circumstances. Whether through alternative provision, catch-up or keep-up intervention, or enrichment for the most able and talented, students are supported to achieve their potential, access education on a par with their peers, and raise their aspirations.

Our key stage 3 provision is designed for students who require alternative provision, intervention, or enrichment. We ensure that every student is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in key stage 4 and beyond.
Students we support
We put the student at the heart of everything we do and empower them to learn in a safe and secure online environment, with qualified teachers in live lessons. Labels might lead students to Tute, but we see beyond them here.

Curriculums
Our key stage 3 curriculum offers a broad and balanced educational experience, providing students with the essential skills and knowledge they need. Delivered by fully qualified teachers, the curriculum is flexible and adaptable, catering to both short and long-term requirements based on individual needs.

Virtual school
The Virtual School is used as short-term alternative provision for students needing stability, transition support, or temporary access to education, including those between placements, following exclusion, or unable to attend school.
It provides live lessons across a full curriculum, ensuring students continue to access education while partners meet their statutory obligations.

Courses (fixed timetable)
Tute’s Shared Courses at key stage 3 provide comprehensive, longer-term alternative provision for students who require structured, consistent education.
They deliver live, timetabled lessons across a broad curriculum, led by subject specialists, supporting stability, progress, and access to a full educational offer.

Tute Go
Tute Go is used for targeted tuition, intervention, and revision.
It supports students in alternative provision and those requiring additional subject-specific teaching, providing flexible, small-group lessons that integrate easily into existing timetables and complement in-school teaching.

Learning programmes
A Tute Learning Programme delivers one-to-one, high-quality teaching for children who need flexible or alternative ways to access learning, including those supported by an EHCP.
Lessons are highly individualised, supporting learning, communication, and confidence through an adaptable, personalised scheme of learning.
They provide a personalised approach that supports engagement, confidence, and continuity for pupils who benefit from individual attention.
