Celebrating the Journey: A heartfelt thank you to parents and carers of Year 11 Tute students

Looking back with pride – and forward with optimism
As another academic year comes to a close, we find ourselves at a significant and emotional milestone: our Year 11 students have completed their education journey with Tute. For them, this is a moment of pride and possibility but for you, their parents and carers, it’s also a time of reflection, celebration, and looking ahead.
Whether your child joined Tute as part of a short-term solution, a new start, or a tailored approach to their learning needs, their success has been built on a foundation of shared effort. Behind every student logging into our lessons was you – encouraging, reminding, listening, supporting. And today, we want to recognise just how important your role has been in their progress.
You’ve been part of their village
No journey through education is walked alone. It takes a village, and at Tute, we’ve been privileged to walk alongside your family as part of that village. While our teachers have guided your child’s learning in the virtual classroom, you have been the constant behind the scenes: helping them stay motivated, navigating challenges, and championing their wellbeing and success.
We know it hasn’t always been easy. The teenage years are filled with transitions, questions, and moments of uncertainty. But through all of it, your belief in their potential has made all the difference.
A moment to pause and celebrate
It’s easy to rush on to the next thing, the next step, the next qualification, the next big decision. But we hope you’ll take a moment, right now, to pause and really reflect on what your young person has achieved.
Completing Year 11 is no small feat. They’ve not only tackled subjects and sat exams, they’ve also built resilience, adapted to new ways of learning, and developed the kind of independence and confidence that will carry them into whatever comes next. These achievements are deeply personal, and we are so proud of every one of them.
And we are proud of you, too. Your encouragement, your patience, and your presence have helped create the conditions for that success. You’ve been a steady hand on the tiller in what can sometimes feel like choppy waters.
What comes next
For many students, leaving Year 11 means heading into further education, college, sixth form, vocational courses, apprenticeships or starting to explore the world of work. These next steps are exciting and full of possibility, but they can also feel overwhelming.
Rest assured, the foundations your child has built through Tute: strong relationships with teachers, the ability to learn independently, and the resilience to face challenges, will serve them well in whatever path they choose.
If they leave Tute with nothing else (though we know they leave with much more), we hope it is the confidence that their voice matters, their journey is valid, and their future is bright.
Staying connected
As your child moves on, we want you to know that your family will always be part of the wider Tute community. Our Parent Hub remains a space for you to access support, hear from other parents, and stay informed about relevant themes in education and parenting.
And for those who have younger children still learning with Tute, or who may return to us in the future, we look forward to continuing that journey with you.
With heartfelt thanks
Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for working with us. And thank you for being the calm, caring, committed presence that your young person has needed.
It has been a privilege to play a part in your child’s journey and to walk a few steps of that path alongside you. We hope you’re as proud of them, and of yourselves, as we are.
With all our warmest wishes for the future,
The Tute Team
