Parent & Carer Hub Newsletter – Welcome back!
A new academic year, fresh opportunities, and stronger connections
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back! We hope you and your family enjoyed a restful summer and are ready for the start of a new school year. At Tute, we’re excited to continue building our supportive Parent & Carer community, with more opportunities to connect, share, and grow together.
We’re now accredited!
We’re delighted to share some exciting news – Tute is now an accredited provider following our recent Ofsted visit. This is a huge milestone for us, reflecting the hard work of our staff and the strength of the Tute community. You can read the full report here: Ofsted Report
Virtual Coffee Morning – Friday 12th September at 10:00am
We’d love you to join us for our first virtual coffee morning of the year, taking place on Friday 12th September. This relaxed, friendly session will focus on:
“Easing the transition back to routine” – practical ideas and reassurance to help you and your child settle into term smoothly. No need to register – just pop onto the Hub or join from this link.
Join our Parent Panel
This year we’re developing our Parent & Carer Panel – a new way for you to share your views, feedback, and ideas directly with us.
The panel is open to all parents and carers, and you don’t need any special expertise, just a willingness to share your perspective and help us keep students at the heart of everything we do.
If you’d like to be part of the panel, click here to express your interest Parent/Carer Panel We’d love for you to get involved!
SHINE values & the SHINE council
At Tute, everything we do is guided by our SHINE values – Support, Help, Inclusion, Nurture, and Empowerment. These values run through lessons, wellbeing initiatives, and our wider community, helping every student feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
One exciting way students can live out these values is through our SHINE Council, a student-led advisory group that meets once every half term. The council gives pupils a platform to share their ideas, represent their peers, and collaborate on projects that make Tute an even better place to learn.
If your child is interested in joining, they can go to the Student Hub to express their interest via the link provided.
Blogs, updates & resources
To support the new term, two brand-new blogs will be available on the Hub this week, both focusing on easing the transition back to online learning:
- One written especially for parents and carers on the Parent and Carer Hub.
- One written for students on the Student Hub.
Both are full of practical advice and encouragement to help everyone settle into online learning with confidence.
The Parent Carer Hub will also continue to be your go-to space for:
- Updates and guidance from the Inclusion team.
- Useful resources to make supporting your child easier.
- Blogs on key issues affecting families and students.
A warm thank you
We know the start of a new term can feel like a big shift but please remember, you’re not alone. Our team is here to support you, and the Parent and Carer Hub is here whenever you need guidance, reassurance, or a place to connect.
Here’s to a positive, purposeful year ahead – we can’t wait to share it with you.
Warmest regards,
The Parent Support Associate & Inclusion Team at Tute
