How to use My Tute Portal

Tute’s custom-built portal allows you to access your data in one place. You can quickly and easily find programme information, and progress, engagement, and attendance data in a summarised or detailed format. 

Initial absence detection

The platform automatically detects and records student absences within the first 5 minutes of a lesson, aligning with department for education (DfE) guidelines.

Comprehensive reporting access

You can view and run detailed reports on attendance, progress, and engagement via the platform, with data available for all enrolments, subjects, key stages, and learning objectives.

View learning objectives

You can view the learning objectives for each programme, allowing you to have full visibility of content, and review what’s covered in each half term.

Access to recorded lessons

All lessons are recorded, allowing students, and yourselves, to access missed content for review and catch-up.

Frequently asked questions

To change a student’s password, log in to tute.com and click on CustomerYou then log in with the staff user credentials you will have been givenClick on Students on the menu on the leftYou will see a button on the top right hand side marked Set new password. Click on this and set the new password, confirm it, then click Set password.
 
To access progress and engagement data, first log in to www.tute.com and click on CustomerYou then log in with the staff user credentials you will have been givenClick on Download Performance Report on the Dashboard page to download data for all your studentsClick on Programmes from the menu on the left and the click on the programme you want to look at specifically to find onscreen data for average performance scores for each student in that programmeClick on Students from the menu on the left and then select the student you want to focus onScrolling to the bottom of the page will bring up a summary of attendance, progress, and engagement for each programme the student is enrolled ontoYou can also click on Download Report at the top of the page to download a spreadsheet which will outline this information lesson by lesson.
 
To view all lesson objectives, first log in to www.tute.com and click on CustomerYou then log in with the staff user credentials you will have been givenClick on Programmes from the menu on the left and this gives you all of the programmes your students are enrolled onChoose the programme you’d like to view and click on Lessons. Scroll along to the right and you will see the learning objective for each lesson.
 
To change who receives attendance notifications in your setting, you need to log in using your customer user credentials. Then, click on Students on the menu on the left. Choose the student who you want to change the attendance notifications for and click on Set contact email. A box will appear for you to type in the email of the person who you want to receive the attendance notifications. Click Set contact email and it’s done.
 
To download attendance data, log in to tute.com using your customer user credentialsThen, choose Attendance from the menu on the left. Use the boxes at the top of the screen to filter the attendance data you need, such as student name, date, etc.  Click on Apply filter and then click on the blue box with a down arrowThis downloads a .csv file which you can save and filter as you need it.
